How do you change starter 1993 300ZX?

Your in luck this ones easy. I recently did this to my own 300zx 2+2. If you don't have a lift like most of us just jack up the right side of your car. You don't need to do both sides but you can if you want. Shimmy under your car and locate your transmison. You should find your starter mounted on the bottom right next to the starter but behind your headers. First remove the heat sheild. You have to do this or you won't have enough room to wiggle it out. There are 3 screws that must come out. One on the bottom, top, and on the left side. Once you have that off disconect the power coupling. Its one wire. Then take out the three bolts holding it in. Drop it off and reverse. Its pretty fricken easy on this one. Just make sure you don't strip any screws. Other wise you have to take off part of the exhaust.
