This is a horrible and painful job. I recently did mine, and it requires removing the exhaust crossover to access one bolt on the thermistat housing.

If you're patient, you don't have to remove the crossover, but you will need (no kidding) a metal coat hanger and a ratcheting stubby 13mm wrench.

It's pretty much the same as all others. Raise the vehicle, drain the radiator. Remove the upper radiator hose. Remove thermistat housing bolts.

For the bolts, that pesky rear one is where I used the coat hanger...bent it into a loop, held the bolt and started the threads. This took about an hour to do for ONE bolt. But, it saved me a ton of money compared to what a shop would charge.

If you're not scared of doing it, just be patient with the rear bolt on the housing.

Otherwise, if you need the car immediately, price shop a few garages.
