how do you change the blower motor resistor in a 2001 Chevy Malibu ls
Remove the plastic panel under neath the glove box. Look on the up against the fire wall. A mirror helps greatly. There are 2 screws that hold it in place in a very tight place. I used an elbow on a small socket. Up plug the old one and replace with new. Mine was burnt out and the new one was a bit larger and it worked fine. They must have improved the design because the lower speeds blow better now. The hardest part was replacing that plastic panel and getting it lined up properly.
