Remove the tire and wheel from your 1996 Chevy Cheyenne. Remove the brake spring and the break caliper. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.

be sure to purcahse the tool to "screw" the caliper piston in. If you try to push the piston in on rear disc brakes you will damange the caliper.

NO. I had a 96 and it had drum brakes. I believe the rear disk brakes started in 1998 for the Blazers.
A 1996 camaro has the same DISK brakes as a 2001. It does not have drum brakes.
