The owner's manual shows a couple of steps that don't work. You remove the plastic rivot with with a flat head screw driver (that works). The diagram in the book shows the front light assembly sliding forward and out of the socket. That does't seem to work as shown. I'm trying to find out, without paying Toyota yet another $100 for a five minute job, how to release the assembly. If anyone finds out, please let us know. I figured it out today. There are two tabs that keep the light secured - one near the back of the light (closest to the tire) and another on the side of the headlamp. To get this started, gently place a screwdriver behind the light neared the tire and push forward. The first tab should pop free, then it's a matter of wiggling the whole light and the second tab should release. Pull the whole structure forward, turn the bulb housing a quarter turn counter-clockwise to access the bulb.
You are correct!! I followed your instructions and in less than 10 minutes I had the bulb replaced. Thank you. Nice to save a few dollars with your help.
