how do you change out the distributor assembly on a 1989 ford f250
If it has a distributor it has to come out and be completely disassembled //its under the rotor!!!
Does not have a filter for you to change.
look in your owner's manual
I had to change the distributer completely out of my truck it had over 210k on the engine. The distributer was worn out. The control module which I believe is located either on the distributor (special socket needed) or on the inner fender.
On the '93-'97 GT's the ignition coil is part of the distributor. If your coil goes bad you need to change the distributor.
every time you change or tune up your truck.
depends on the year. what year is it?
call a mechanic
Get rid of ur module distrbutor and duraspark box and a older distributor like 78 on the truck and a old wiring harness.
If the truck has a V 8 engine their is none , these engines still have a distributor located in the front of the engine.
You need to look for the firing order for your specific engine. That's the order you place the plug wires in. Make sure the rotation of the distributor matches the firing order.
