Relieve the fuel pressure. which is located on the fuel rail in front of the regulator. you will see a black cap. Unscrew it and press the pin down. keep your face away and have a rag around. One thats done, it's fairly simple. You will need an torx bit (size 10T) but make sure is has aq little hole in the middle. its some kind of locking device and most auto parts store have this. Unscrew the torx screws and the regulator comes right off.

you may have bad injectors, or not enough fuel pressure
it will work but you have to use a pressure regulator in line so you can set the fuel pressure down to 6 psi. for the carburetor
A bad fuel pressure regulator or a clog in the fuel return line that leads back to the tank will cause this.
