I have a 1993 Chevy pickup and plan to change the fuel pump. Many of my friends have do this task. The easiest way is to remove the ben of the truck. Simply remove the bolts holding the bed down and unplug the wiring harness and lift off with a couple of men. The fuel pump is in the tank. A locking ring needs to be rotated by using a hammer and a brass punch. Do not use a steel punch as a spark could ignite the gas. Remove pump and reverse directions.

There is no fuel pump reset button on that vehicle.
the fuel pump on a 1992 Chevy pickup is located inside the gas tank but is attached to the top side of it. you have to drop the gas tank to get it out but up want to make sure that there is not much gas in there when you do it because it will be extremely heavy if you don't.
