if it is fuel injected
1 empty fuel
2 drop fuel tank and remove filler tube and vent tube via hose clamps
3 detatch fuel lines from sending unit located on top of tank(if possible)
4 there is a cam lock ring that you need to use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer to tap it counter clockwise to release it from the tank
5 pull sending unit and fuel pump out of tank while being careful to not break off the gas gage float.
replace fuel pump and strainer. check wires to check for damage.
6 connect fuel pump and turn key on to check if it kicks on.
7 put it all back together.
need 2 people. approx 2 hours
The fuel pump for the 1990 full size blazer is located inside of the fuel tank. If this model does not have an access plate in the floor of the blazer then the tank will have to be removed to get to the pump.
You gotta drop the fuel tank by unloosening the to 2 bolt along with the 2 support straps the fuel pump is rifgt on top of the tank before u drop the tank u gotta make sure all hoses and call wires are disconnected

fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, so you have to drop the tank to access the fuel pump, but make sure your near empty before you drop tank. Very heavy when full of gas.

sounds like your torque converter is faulty in your transmission
