the pump is inside the gas tank. empty as much gas as you can from the car. remove the rear seat bottom, remove the cover that has wires going through it, unplug those wires from the top of the gas tank. raise the car, remove all the hoses attached to the tank. support the tank with a jack or otherwise, remove the nuts that hold the gas tank support straps, and drop the tank down and out. the larger of the 2 plates is the pump bracket. remove the screws from it and pull it out of the tank. the pump is easily removed from the bracket with regular tools. installation is reverse of removal.
