Have you checked the fuses or bulbs?
could be the wiring to the dome light
Driver side engine compartment. Contains fuses and relays. Location is printed on fuse box cover.
Depends on the model - if it's the 4 cylinder the main fuse block is under the hood on the drivers' side. It's black with a black plastic lid and a white diagram inside showing the purpose, amperage, and location of each fuse. These are plug in (also known as spade type) fuses and are readily available at your local auto parts store off the rack. Check with your local mechanic if you have to.
Is this an automatic or manual transmission?
In the drivers right kick panel, its small between the firewall and the fuses grey and has 3 terminals on it
There is a fuse box located to the left of the clutch pedal on the wall of the truck tucked directly under the dash. You need to be a contortionist to get at the fuses though.
Before you change any fuses, try turning the brightness adjustment knob up and down vigorously. Do this at night or in a dark area. This is a common symptom of Toyota vehicles. Also try replacing the headlight switch, this feeds the panel lights. The fuse is rarely the problem. daner@copper.net
