It can be done by touch but the risk to damage the headlight assembly (ass'y) is high. To take out the ass'y is done by removing the grille (4 screws) then the molding under the ass'y (no tools) then 2 screws under the ass'y. To replace the bulb by touch, remove the cover above the headlight (looks like a part of the shroud). Remove the black plastic cover. Pinch and remove the wire harness, pinch and remove the bulb holder. The bulb holder has a wire retainer similar to a paper clip and can pop out of position easily. Pinch and remove operations can break a plastic hinge that's necessary for headlight aiming (that's the risk). It seems like a lot of trouble to take out the whole ass'y but its really one of the easiest things you can do on a Catera. Start to finish it will be about 30 minutes for each light.
depends on what side driver side remove battery unplug light turn the black retainer and pull on bulb passenger do the same without removing the battery
The battery is located behind the passenger seat. It is covered with a carpeted cardboard shield. It pulls straight out towards the windshield and will reveal the battery. There are also 2 posts (1 positive and 1 negative) located behind the passenger side headlight which allows you to jump off the car without accessing the battery.
Hook it to a battery charger.
Yes, and you can charge it with a full size 10 amp charger without removing it from the vehicle.
You replace the bulb by twisting a plastic ring 1/4 turn located behind the headlight. The passenger side is hard to get to without removing the battery but can be done. If you remove the battery make sure you reset the alarm after you reconnect by unlocking the drivers door with the key.
open the hood and on the passenger side there is the air intake remove that box it is held by 3 screws. you will be able then to pop off a rubber cap from behind the headlight and then remove the headlight itself. for the driver side the battery is there, you may remove it if you want easier access but it is possible to do without removing the battery. same process for both sides.
Being a Renault its naturally awkward but it is possible without removing the battery, find someone with small hands to do it, practise on the offside light first then it will be easier.
Disarm the alarm before removing the battery.
how can i break bios password without remove cmos battery
it is usually green in colour and is underneath the battery. you can just about see it without removing the battery
There is a fuse box connected to the headlight switch which you can either access from underneath or by removing the instrument panel. The fuse box is connected to the headlight switch by a metal clip with a small retaining screw or pin. The fuse box uses only 4 fuses so you can easily replace them without removing the box from the headlight switch.
Start by disconnecting the battery.
