On a 2WD, remove the wheel, use a large drift and a hammer to knock the stud back out. Put never-seize on the splines of the new stud and put it in from the back, put a thick hardened washer over it and thread a lugnut on BACWARDS (with the flat side in). Use an impact gun on the nut and it will pull the head of the stud snug against the back of the hub.

You need a torx type socket. If you use an Allen wrench...you will strip out the inside of the bolt.

I just got a set of 97 t100 buckets from the auto dismantler I had a split bench and the bolts match up except for the drivers side Rt. front and the passenger side Lt rear bolts. Re-drill and use bolt and nut w/ a lock washer. Works great.

on the LXi, remove the passenger side, front wheel and you'll have direct access through the splash guard. You will however, need a 30" socket extension. Good luck and don't strip the o2's bolt head.
