To fill the oil canister in a 2004 Kia Sedona, the mechanic will need around 6 quarts of oil. The oil should be 5W30 or 10W30 and an oil change for a Kia Sedona should take place ever 7,500 miles, as per the manufacturer's request.
About $40 at Walmart.
all you do is undo the nut on the bottom of the sump and drain the oil
I recommend every 75,000 miles.
The manual states to do it every 3000 miles or 12 months
I think you have to drop the pan, just have a new gasket handy if you do.

On the oil pan, located on the bottom of the engine. If you cannot find it, then you are not qualified to change your own oil. Pay someone to do it for you.

The Oil Filter in a 2004 Kia Sedona is located on the passenger side of the car on the bottom. You'll need to jack up the front about 3 inches to get to it and you'll need a clamp tool not a band tool to get it off. It's at a difficult angle to get to be carefull oil will spill on you. Have something to catch oil. Good Luck.
I myself have a 2006 KIA Sedona. I use to have a 2005 but the dealer here in Fort Myers, Florida dropped it of their lift for its second oil change. It is sad to say that the dealership was too arrogant even though they were negligent. I have to drive 2 hours away to get the 06. To answer your question, the new Kia Sedona 2006 is now using a "cartidge type" oil filter (Part # 26320 3C100). It is located on top of the engine. You need to remove 4 10mm bolts on the fancy engine cover. It you look right on top of this cover, near the battery, you will see an engraving on the cover "OIL FILTER" This design is similar to diesel engines. Pay extra attention to the 2 O-rings that needs to sit properly on its flange. GOOD LUCK!!!
is it 5 quarts or is it 6 quarts
Change the oil & filter every 5,000 miles if you use conventional oil and every 7,500 if you use synthetic.
30 Gallon in US models answer 2010 kia sedona can store maximum of 21.1 gallons ------------------------------------------------------------------- That's a great answer for fuel capacity, however the question is regarding oil capacity. It's not clear what size engine you have or what year, so let's take a guess that it's a 3.8 liter engine from 2006+. It can take up to 6 quarts if you're doing a full drain and replace, including the oil filter.
