How do you change the side view mirror turn signal bulb on a 2001 Lincoln Navigator?

Hi,
I just did mine on an expedition. There are two flat retaining clips that hold the front plastic cap on the assembly. Move the mirror to its full inward position. Then you can reach in with a flat screw driver and lift up the one clip. Tilt the mirror to the other full extreme then you can reach in and free the other clip. With the top two free, the bottom slides out and you have access to the bulb.
