Remove the resonator box on the top of the engine. You must disconnect the intake air tube and the connection to the throttle body.

Be aware that there are two connections to the airbox resonator. One for the fuel pressure regulator (If the 04 model still has that) and the PCV hose.

After this is off it will reveal the coil packs (6) on top of the motor. Carefully remove the two bolts that hold the coil packs down. They are long and thin so a tap with a hammer on top is sometime a good loosening move. The pLugs should be good for 100,000 miles. Be sure that it is not a coil pack that has gone bad before wasting money on the plugs.

  1. 4 tends to get water on it during heavy rain if your hood seal is bad and you are parked on a slope.

Once the coil pack is removed the plug will be easily removed however they are inside the well.
