How do you adjust a ryobi string trimmer carbureter?
I have a CS26 string trimmer that had a major problem from the start. It would eventually start after many pulls and then and run only at high speed. I would also see some leakage inside the cover. A neighbor suggested that this was a symptom of a vacuum leak somewhere. When he checked he found that the screws holding one of the engine cover plates were loose. After tightening the screws and much fiddling with the adjustments, the trimmer now appears to run OK and doesn't immediately stall when you release the trigger as it was doing.
How do you adjust the carburetor on a ryobi ss26 trimmer?
After reading problems on the cs26 trimmer. I went out and too a look at the carburetor. Removed the carburetor took a hacksaw blade and slightly cut the casing around the adjustments (packman) type). Took a pair of side cutters and broke the casing away (carefully). Got into a position where i could cut a slot in each adjustment screw. Put the carburetor back on, started it up and done my adjustments. Now it will idle and rev up.
