TAke the trand pan off and change the filter while you are there. Refill it with about 3 quarts then check it. Don't overfil it. Dispose of old fluid correctly. Most parts houses will take it .
there should be a small pan attached to the bottom, now on the pan should be a small bolt, if not on pan look along both sides of the trany. when u find bolt remove it. it is a smart thing to change the trany filter too, remove the pan to do this.

There is not one. The transmission pan must be removed to change transmission fluid and filter.
:On my 1995 ford probe, i was told there isn't a oil filter for that year so just throw the filter away and change the gasket...there actually is a filter in the transmission but its internal and the trany would need to be taken apart to access it.
