Inside the transmission.
Aotomatic transmission filters are typically inside the transmission just above bottom pan.
:On my 1995 ford probe, i was told there isn't a oil filter for that year so just throw the filter away and change the gasket...there actually is a filter in the transmission but its internal and the trany would need to be taken apart to access it.
The 1995 Honda civic dx transmission does not come with oil filter.
Inside the transmission oil pan
yes....
Yes it does. You have to remove the transmission pan and the filter is located inside and mounted to the transmission with two or three bolts. I have a 1995 Avalon and I just replaced my fluids and transmission filter. Pretty easy job.
right above the oil filter on the transmission side of the filter mount
im wandering where the transmission filter is on my 1996 mystique with a 4 cylinder.the filter has to go inside somewhere but not sure.if this is free it would be a huge help.perry
its inside the transmission remove the transmission pan and you will see it the filter snaps in
I have a 1995 legacy and I just changed my transmission filter. I also have the 2.2 engine. The filter is located under the car and inside the box that the plug for the transmission fluid is located. It has exactly 20 screws to take the bottom of the box off to get to the filter. Be sure to drain the transmission fluid before you take the screws off.
If you do not see a drain plug on the A/T pan then it does not have one. Pan must be removed to access the filter, and drain & clean the pan. Most transmission fluid pans do not have a drain plug.
in the tank
