Hi, I own a 2000 breeze with the 2.4 liter and automatic transmission. I change my Transmission Fluid about every 30,000 miles or so. If you have jack stands or ramps it will make the job easier. Get a catch pan and get under the transmission pan cover. I believe there are 14 bolts to remove. I always start at the bottom and work my way up. No matter what you do you will get some fluid on you. After you remove the cover you will see the filter. Simply grab the filter and softly twist it back and forth while gently pulling on it. Grab your new filter and put it in place in the rubber grommet. Clean your cover and place gasket in place and reinstall in reverse order. I'm not 100% sure of the refill capacity. Ask at your auto parts store. They should be able to look it up. Have fun!!! The trans filter is held in by 3 locations: 2 friction type plastic pins and the rubber O ring. Pulling the filter off causes more fluid to drain out. When you put the new filter on, make sure the O ring is on the filter prior to installing and make sure the old one is removed from the valve body. When installing the filter, line up the o ring and then line up the 2 plastic pins. Make sure you are lined up and then slap the bottom of the filter with your hand to seat the filter. It should NOT rock on the valve body. If it does, you are not fully seated. It took me 2X to realize this. Tighten pan in a criss cross manner in 3 stages. I do the final tighten until I just see the rubber gasket start to squeeze out of the pan. Refill in 6 oz turns with the motor running and the trans in N as the torque convertor will fill up before the pan does. The convertor may not fill in P so N is where you should fill at. Check after every 6 oz. but itll take an entire bottle off the bat. Recommended after every 10K but that is from the filter manufacturer. Some trans are sealed forever and never require maintenance.
