typically it is done around 100,000 miles. If it doesn't have a sealed transmission (which the metro doesnt) you should change the fluid.
fill to the plug hole on side of transmission
it holds 3.16 quarts or 3.5 liters
Can you swap a 93 Geo metro manual transmition with a 95 Geo Metro
For all automatic transmissions you add fluid through the dipstick tube.
5 pints (2.5 quarts)
Owners manual recommends Dexron II ATF
Yes it is. Any Metro transmission made after the year 1994 will fit in your 98 Metro.
yes
1996 metro calls for dextron 2, should tell you on your transmission dip stick
The transmission needs to have a proper flush. Drain the old fluid and pour in new fluid then take the 1997 Geo Metro for a test drive. If the problem still persist then the gears may be too worn.
it is in the transmission
