You go under the right fender( take away mudflop) and find washer tank, the pump is stiking out from it.Disconnect electrical and water lines and take it out of the tank (rubber fitting stays with a tank). Put a new one ($24.00 at Kia dealership) back into tank. That's all.

I would start by looking under your washer reservoir. it will be a small cylindrical pump sticking out of the bottom. just pull it out and connect the new one in its place.

Kia Sportage washer pump location?

I'm not sure it'll help, but I have a 2006 Kia Rio, and the washer pump is located on the bottom of the washer reservoir directly in front of the right front tire. The only access is taking off (or loosening) the inner fender-- and it's a tight fit! Again, this is for a Rio, and I'm not guaranteeing it'll help you. You might call the service department of your local Kia dealer; I've had very good luck with them for things like this.
