For the Power Steering pump, first drain the power steering fluid by disconnecting the lower hose. This will have to be done from under the vehicle. Next, remove the serpentine belt by releasing the tension via the tension pulley. You will have to rent a pulley removal tool from your local auto parts store if you don't already have one. Remove the pulley from the power steering pump. Remove the pressure line and attachment bolts to remove the pump. Installation is the reverse of removal. After installation, fill the pump with new power steering fluid and bleed the system. I did this by jacking up the vehicle so both front wheels were off the ground, starting the vehicle, and turning the wheels all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, about 20 times. Check and refill the fluid as needed during this cycling process.
To release serpentine belt tension: You will need a 3/8 in ratchett. There is a hole to insert the end of the ratchett into below and to the left of the pully wheel in about the center of the side of the engime you are facing. The hole is in what appears to be a small rectangle shaped bar. Put the nub that you would normally place into the backside of a socket into the hole and then exert forward pressure towerd the firewall.
This will realease pressure on the belt. .....donbais
When you remove the power steering cap, there is a measuring mark on the underside of the cap.
