The 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo windshield wiper fluid reservoir can be found in the engine compartment. The windshield wiper fluid reservoir will be on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
The 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has the most common hook-end wiper arms. There is a tab that you press that is where the wiper blade assembly is inserted into the hook. Press the tab and pull the wiper blade out of the hook. If corroded, spray some WD-40 on it and let it penetrate a little bit. Your replacement wiper blades will have illustrated instructions and you can also view the installation video below.
Windshield wiper motors are 'ground on' motors, that means at the top of the cycle it is loosing 'ground' on the motor plate inside the unit (more than likely). Either rebuild the motor assembly or replace it.
find you a donor vehicle like a Monte Carlo,if you have a turn signal switch with a dimmer switch combined then your in luck ,the Monte Carlo has the wiper with delay,dimmer and turn signal switch all in one .if the wiper switch is on the dash then you might look twards a switch and wiper motor from a caprice classic, the wiper motor has the delay board installed on it just plug and play.don't foget to hook up the green pulse wire to the single terminal under the washer pump,this can be done because i converted my 71 ss chevelle to delay system,only mods was mounting the switch but i did it without drilling or cutting my dash.

Remove the wiper arm from the wiper motor. Remove the wiring harness from the wiper motor. Remove the wiper motor retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new wiper motor.

Unplug the electrical connection at the motor and test to see if it has power. If there isn't power at the connection, then find the cause of it.. could be a relay, a fuse, a switch, or a broken wire. After that, you supply power to the wiper motor (run the ground post to a good ground, supply power with a jumper wire or something like a Power Probe tool). If it doesn't function like it's supposed to, your wiper motor is bad.
