Is it the bottom seal or top seal? Bottom seal- drain oil, remove spark plug boot, remove blade and clean shaft, place the tip of a small screwdriver at the o.d. of the seal and use a hammer to tap the screwdriver into the seal and pry out. to install- lube the inner lip of the seal, set it level into the opening and gently tap the outer edge of the seal with a brass punch and hammer or use a soft face hammer until the seal is in all the way. Make sure not to drive the seal in unevenly you will damage the seal. To do the top seal you will do the same to get the seal out and in but you will have to remove the engine flywheel.
