the bike should be equiped with a battery tender attachment hidden just under the lower left hand side of the gas tank. once you find it just hook up the battery charger with the battery charger attachment and your ready to go. Otherwise you can purchase a battery charger with tender attachment at Sears for $19.95 and hook up the battery tender to the battery yourself if it didn't already come with one.
I have a 2006 883 and just found it two days ago, it came with it.
