If you are referring to the split system (a/c front-- a/c rear) you vcharge it the same way as standard. There is only one compressor there for only one refrigerant system. The rear systems tend to get leaks in the piping because of road salts eating up the aluminum pipes that runs to the back. Look at all of the closely before you waste money of two or three cans of R134A
