its located under the false tank to the left simply unplug it remove the old one throw it in the landfill. carefully remove the 3 wires with leads from old plastic plug with small nail go buy a tridon stant ep28 electronic flasher from any auto parts store approx $14 and plug in wires in this order
L or load to gray on bike
b or + to black on bike
g or - to green on bike
now your not only fixed but set up for led lights as well
or pay mother Honda $40 for a new mitsuba fr-3111 its a common problem for 80 thru 83 wings
