The pump is on the back of the engine, hard to see and to get too. Stand by the passenger side of the car and look at the back of the engine and you will see it, just follow the path of the belt.
Check the modulating valve - maybe sucking oil through the vacuum system and burning it as fuel.
Check in the air filter housing.
The 3.8 Liter V6 powering the Buick Park Avenue Ultra requires only 87 octane fuel. You can use 89 octane but there is zero benefit in doing so. The Supercharged version may require 89 or 91 octane of that I am not sure. Check the owners manual and use exactly what is recommended.

Select the tire pressure info by pressing the "gage info" button, then press and hold the reset button until the display shows that the tire pressures have been reset.
in the oil pan... chech for what looks like a 3/4 inch plastic nut for a wire coming out of it on the either the fron or back of the motor
Check to make sure the horn is firmly bolted down, and the electrical connection is tight. It could also possibly be a bad horn switch inside the steering wheel.
Check the fuse under the back seat it may be as simple as that.
After repairing the cause of the code, you can clear it with a scan tool.
check the alternator, ignition coil. or even see what the charge at the battery is.
Check the 1993 Park Avenue fuses first. Check the light dimmer switch to make sure that it is functioning. If these are ok, look for a bad wiring connection.
Check under the dash, just left of the steering wheel. More fuses may be near the battery and a few of the larger fuses may be on the firewall on the passenger side, behind a plastic housing.

The power steering fluid dip stick is made to the reservoir cap. Pull the cap off to read the stick.
Check fluid level, are there any noises, what are the conditions when problem occurs?
The check engine light on the 1998 Buick Park Avenue can be reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. The check engine light is only going to stay off if the problem that created the light is fixed.
