I believe on the drivers side of the manual trans there will be two fill plugs the top one is the fill plug. if you stick your finger in the hole a little bit you should get fluid on your finger. its a rather big bolt head if i remember correctly. its about midway up the trans.
I believe its Dexron ATF fluid. Check the owners manual if you have one.
On a 2000 Ford Ranger : On a manual transmission , underneath the vehicle , on the transmission will be a fill plug . With the vehicle level the fill plug is cleaned and removed to check the fluid level ( the fluid level should be at the bottom of the fill plug hole )
I know that a 1994 ranger with a manual trans. uses automatic trans. fluid
For your manual transmission , I believe it is on the drivers side
Should be a plug at the side of transmission - fill to this level
Manual transmission fluid is MERCON automatic transmission fluid.
How do you check manual transmission fluid KIA sophia
According to Haynes Repair Manual #36071, 1993-2005 Ford Ranger pickups, all models: Manual transmission fluid type is MERCON automatic transmission fluid.
Motorcraft MERCON ATF ( automatic transmission fluid ) is used in the 5 speed manual transmission of a 1999 Ford Ranger , according to the owners manual
there is no fluid for a manual transmission
there is a small plug in the side of the tranny you need to take the plug out if you can see the fluid it is ok should be level with the hole.
Should be a plug on the side of the transmission about 1/2 up- fill to this point
