No its a 2-speed Automatic. Loved by drag racers.
With manual 3 speed trans, 90 mph. With manual 4 speed trans, 93 mph. With automatic 2 speed Powerglide trans, 94 mph.
The 2 speed Powerglide was the only automatic trans available for the Chevelle in 1965.
If it's a manual trans, you check it from underneath the vehicle. There should be a plug on the transmission towards the top.
in the trans Fill/Level check tube in an automatic. in a 5 speed there is probably a port to fill into the actual trans case
If the convertor is empty, probably about 8 or 9 quarts. Talk to the guy that built the trans, but most people like type F.
on the driver side of the stadard trans there is a plug about mid ways up that you can check at.
need to know if it is and automatic or a standard shift transmission Automatic has no dipstick to check trans fluid.
Check your fluid level, the synchro's are not working, and it may be because theres no lube.
There is no dipstick on a manual trans. there should be a drain plug and a fill plug on the side of the trans. To check the level you take out the fill plug and the fluid should come to the bottom of the hole.
You fill the trans fluid thru the dipstick you check the level at.
trans is slippying
