The dip stick is a special tool at the dealer. You also need a scan tool capable of reading the Transmission Fluid temperature and the fluid level vs temperature chart from the service manual.

When you have all that you start and idle in park, read temp with the scan tool, check fluid level with the dipstick and compare if the level is correct for the temp read on the scan tool with what is listed on the chart.
