Depends on what Renault it is, there are lots of models with different methods. Scenic has battery under drivers seat(gel battery)or under bonnet(lead acid battery). The clio is under the bonnet , under a plastic flap just under the windscreen.To remove the battery , there is a clamp down the side of the battery clamping it ti the battery tray, remove this, then disconnect the terminals then lift battery out.
