Generally speaking you can clear trouble codes by either removing the fuse to the engine control module or by disconnecting the battery. In either case the ignition should be off.
Hope that helps.
There isn't a trans filter on the Firefly manual trans.
take off the negative cable for 10 sec. or so, that should clear all the codes and reset the computer.

Most FWD cars can still have the engine removed from the top....just as the old RWD cars. If it's an automatic trans unbolt the trans and the torque converter from the engine. Support the trans and leave it in the car. Most of the time it's easier to pull a 5 speed trans with the engine.....but you'll need to be able to tilt the engine quite a bit to clear everything as you pull it.
First check coolant levels, if they are correct. Try disconnecting the battery ground connection for 5 minutes to clear the prom, then reconnect and start the car. If the light is still on, then the sensor is bad, and must be replaced.
Should be able to just unbolt the valve cover, remove the old gasket clear the surfaces with a rag and reinstall. Might have to disconnect the throttle/trans kickdown cable from the throttle body for room.
Buy a Haynes Repair Manual or a Chilton Repair Manual for a 2000 Firebird. Both have clear schematics for all electrical systems.
After repairing the cause of the code, you can clear it with a scan tool.
The cast of Solo Trans - 1984 includes: Newell Alexander as Dan Clear Inez Drummond as Baby Rosemarie Lovell as Crystal Clear Connie Simmons as Connie Sue Neil Young as himself Pegi Young as Honey
I added a link for you to check out. According to this site it will fit. I do know that the thermostat housing is different and that you will have to run a point type distributor as the HEI won't clear the carb. A Mallory Uni-lite might clear. Not sure.
Don't know how many are left, but I have one with 32,500 certified miles. Loaded with wrap around power seat and diamond gold lace wheels. Looks better then new with 4 coats of clear on new paint. Have fun with yours and let me know if you find how many were made. TrooperD9402@aol.com
The term 'shemale' is an offensive term to describe trans women. If you use terms like this then it's clear that you don't really like trans women - if you did then of course it would be okay, you can like anyone you want to and trans women are no less than any other person.
