You can do it by clicking Clear History in internet Options for IE, or Clear Private Data for Firefox. Do an online search for step by step instructions.
To erase your Google history you need to click the arrow pointing down in a gray box next to your search box in your Google toolbar two or more times and then at the bottom it will say clear history and then you click it and it will delete all of you Google search history.
