How do you connect a Gmail account up to outook?

1) Log into Gmail 2) Click on "Settings" 3) Click on the tab "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" 4) Under IMAP Access select "Enable IMAP" 5) Click Save Changes 6) Open your mail client, i.e. Outlook, etc. (each one is different so you will have to know how to set up a new account, most wizards will walk you through it.) 7) Here is the information to enter in the settings fields within you mail client: -Incoming Server (select IMAP, not POP): imap.gmail.com

-Outgoing Server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com

-Account name: youremailaddress@gmail.com

-Password (enter you actual gmail account password, not the one I placed here): yourpasswordhere

-Check the Remember password box 8) Under this account's properties (in outlook) click on the Advanced tab 9) Check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" 10) Enter '465' in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port field 11) Under Incoming mail (IMAP), check the box next to 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL)' 12) Enter '993' in the Incoming mail (IMAP) port field 13) click Apply 14) Go to the Servers tab 15) Check the box next to 'My server requires authentication' 16) Click Ok Your mail client will now get all of you gmail mail. When you send something from Outlook, you will be able to see it in gmail and visa versa. You will also be able to see all incoming mail in both platforms. Good luck!
