I found the answer here: http://www.Ford-forums.com/ford-escape/4530-ford-escape-air-bag-warning-light.html It worked on my Mazda Tribute - I checked the connections under the front seats.
You can reset an airbag light that is blinking by connecting an ODBII code reader. The warning can then be removed which will cause the light to go out until another error is detected.
A 1996 Ford Ranger could be equipped with a passenger side airbag ( SRS ) * so maybe yes and maybe no * All the 1996 Ford Ranger models have a drivers side airbag
no
No , from what I've read the 1995 Ford Ranger has a drivers side airbag and the passenger side airbag was added in 1996
There is a problem with the SRS. Take it to a dealer and have this checked into, ASAP.
YES, it does have a passenger side airbag. How do I know? I own a 1995 Ford Ranger 4 Cyl 5 Spd.
it means it needs service check owners manual
You can't "clear" it unless you fix the problem that is causing the light to be on in the first place. That's the way all airbag systems work.
Your Ford Escort, airbag linking light is an indication that the airbag is malfunctioning. You should visit your local Ford dealer to make sure the airbag is functioning properly
I have a '93 with a blinking airbag light. I have been told by a couple of repair places that the only way to fix it is to take apart the entire dash on the car which would be very very expensive. Mine has been blinking for three years.
The 1991 Ranger XLT 4.0 L does not have any airbags what so ever.
There is a problem with the SRS in your vehicle. This is not a DIY repair. Take it to a professional ASAP.
