Detonate a high yield nuclear device in the upper atmosphere or just outside of the Earth's atmosphere.
EMP was discovered at the US Nuclear Tests at Bikini Atoll when it knocked out power for a short time as far away as Hawaii.
well to make an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) you will need:
lots of large capacitors
thin copper tubing (for the coil)
two switches
wires
soldering iron
plug in cord
the capacitors will store up the energy and once the switch to the coil is turned on all the energy will shoot out all at once through the coil creating an EMP.
the plug in cord will be soldered to the switch witch will be soldered to the wires, then from the wires to the capacitors to the other switch then the other wires then finally to the coil.
to start it you plug it in to the wall flip the switch to the capacitors wait 10 sec take the plug in out flip the switch off then flip the switch to the coil.
EMP or electromagnetic pulse. It can disrupt electronic systems, and signals.
you cannot directally protect your device from an electro magnetic pulse however emps can only fire in a straight line so if you swerve your device away from the emp direct line of fire it will miss your device altogether =)
the coil it is used to produce high voltage, low current, high frequency alternating current electricity. A burst of electromagnetic radiation is something the coil will not do.
I'm working on a science project where I need some form of artificial electromagnetic energy. I've heard that a coil produces some radiation but I don't know much about electronics and need an easy way to create some ER.

"EMP" is the abbreviation for the term "electromagnetic pulse". EMPs are a pulse of electromagnetic radiation that may cause current and voltage surges.
EMP or electromagnetic pulse. It can disrupt electronic systems, and signals.
Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) is generated by air bursts of nuclear weapons. There are other ways of generating EMP, but this may be the most likely. Electromagnetic pulses can disable sensitive electronic equipment, disrupting telecommunication systems.
The explosion of an atomic weapon can cause an EMP.

One meaning is the abbreviation for Electromagnetic Pulse. This is an intense magnetic field created by the detonation of a nuclear weapon. The EMP is capable of burning out electrical devices.
EMP is only a significant effect if the bomb is detonated in the ionosphere.
The EMP, electromagnetic pulse, knocks out all electronics on the enemies team. Radar, laser crosshairs, and enemy killstreaks. however use when your killstreaks are gone for the EMP will take them out too. Great killstreak gotta admit.
An EMP is as it sounds, a pulse of electromagnetic energy, this induces a very high current (thousands of volts) in parts of the watch, and since many electrical items, such as microchips, are very sensitive to high voltages, it causes them to break.
An electromagnetic bomb or E-bomb is a weapon designed to disable electronics with an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that can couple with electrical/electronic systems to produce damaging current and voltage surges by electromagnetic induction. The effects are usually not noticeable beyond 10 km of the blast radius unless the device is nuclear or specifically designed to produce an electromagnetic pulse
A nuclear attack. EMP is generated by the energy of electrons added to the Earth's magnetic field by gamma radiation.
EMP stands for electromagnetic pulse, which is a burst of electromagnetic radiation that can disrupt or disable electronic devices. Special forces in the context of Zynga refers to a game called Empires & Allies, developed by Zynga. In the game, players can deploy special forces units to carry out missions and engage in strategic battles.
