- Since you have in laws this means you are old enough to stand up for your rights. Firstly, you should discuss this with your husband or wife as they really should be sticking up for you. You can ban your in laws from coming to your home if they refuse to stop bullying you and you can refuse to go visit them. Again, it is up to your spouse to discuss the problems with his/her parents. The four of you should be able to sit down calmly and try to come to an amicable agreement. Your mate should expect his/her parents to be respectful of you or they have no backbone.
