Blue is the color of the wind on a hot day.
You simply can't.
probably not <><><> First. communicate what SEEING is, then COLOR, then the color YELLOW. A comparison might be made to senses that the blind person has, such as hearing, taste, smell or touch.
yes....blind since birth
First thing I would like to know for this purpose is whether the person was blind by birth or due to any accident. If the person became blind due to any accident or disease, it will be easy to describe him. I would just tell him the name of the colors and their position on the said board. If the person was blind by birth, it will be little difficult but not impossible. I have read in many books that the person needs mind the most than eyes to see and imagine things. He must have formed some sign convention for almost everything in his mind. For example, his mother has been kind to him since his birth in spite of his blindness. He might have formed a sign for his mother as something soothing and caring. In the same water would be like something cold and hot or may be something pure. Using these sign conventions I would explain him a colored board.
Describe what you are seeing and tell the blind, "the house, the car, is red. Red is a color that resembles hotness, the opposite of cold.... fire is red, or something else that you think about. Obviously if the person is blind since he was born.
You can use tints and shades of gray to describe White. Using black to shade and white to tint. Since black and white are neutrals and not colors, you can use them to describe the color white.
He's blind since birth.
This is a very interesting question, and believe it or not, it comes up frequently. I personally think (and I could be totally wrong), that there is no way to describe any color to some one who has been blind from birth. We can also ask, "does a blind person from birth dream, and if so what do they see, if anything." I will be looking in on this question from time to time. I am very interested in what others have to say. Viper1 ANSWER Color is also Different for every person, as your irises are different from others. If they have ever seen some color, then you could compare it, otherwise, then you would be just best to compare it to things that have tastes or colors, since how could they imagine it. Here is a good question, what do blind people see in their thoughts? Colors, even People?
Certainly. They just experience their dreams through different sensory perception (i.e. sounds instead of sights)
He apologised to the blind man.The pilots were flying blind in the thick fog.Helen Keller was deaf and blind.
In my opinion, black is the easiest colour to describe to a blind person. Ask the person what they see? When they answer nothing, that is the colour of black. Dark, unseeable. Or at least that is how I would describe it.
Stevie wonders has been blind almost since birth. its really sad but he has gotten so far.
