A clot will be of the same consistency all the way through, and when swished in water will mostly disolve, leaving just some stringy threads. Results of a miscarriage will look like a clot externally, but is quite different inside. There will be a fuzzy red ball inside the clotty stuff (the size of the ball depends on the duration of the pregnancy), and inside the fuzzy red ball will be a small clear jell-like or watery center. Inside that jell you may find the fetus, although it may be too small to see. The main clue is the fuzzy ball.

No, not always. My mother said she passed huge blood clots while pregnant with me, and had to go to bed and elevate her feet. I turned out fine! No complications other than a portwine stain birthmark on my arm. Good Luck!

No I had it 3 times with my pregnancy it can be from sex our walking or any strain put on your cervix. If you bleed a lot you should go straight to the hospital but a little blood is fine.

If you have brown blood instead of red blood and then red blood with what looks like blood tissue about a week after taking the morining after pill is that considered a miscarriage?

No this isn't a miscarriage. Miscarriages result in extreme and intense pain which is agony and very heavy bleeding. What you experience is not a miscarriage. The blood tissue is a clot from your period.

If there was thick white stuff in your vaginal area after heavy bleeding following a big blood clot was it a miscarriage?

Yes I'm sorry to say but it was a miscarriage and that big blood clot that came out was most likely baby. The same thing happen to my friend because some girl kicked her in her stomach and she had a miscarriage. She said she had a big blood clot come out when she had her miscarriage. I had a D&C at 9 weeks after we found out the baby was no longer alive. The D&C removed the Fetus but not all of the "material" so, two days later I had HORRIBLE cramps and huge Clumps fell out of me. The clumps were almost as big as my fist. This happened 4 or 5 times. So, unless I was having Quads, I don't think the Clot was the baby. Doctors say the fetus is usually grayish tissue, and some people say they could see the baby. It could also be that you were ovulating and a period took place, but also, yes it could have been a miscarriage...If the clot was a light gray-or-off-white color and a little transparent...
