The dsi only takes AAC music files, so you first have to download iTunes. After you have itunes, then you put you music in it, go to EDIT and select all. After your music has been selected go to ADVANCED and click on "create aac version". It will take a few minutes. When its done copy the music to an sd card and play it on the dsi.

What format are they? The DSi cannot read MP3 files, which is the most likely format for music. Check the documentation to see what formats it can read.
