Remove the drain plug on each side of the block, one if it is a straight 6 or 4 cylinder, two if it is a V-8 or V-6. They are located close to the oil pan.
there is no drain plug in the actual block there is a plug in the lower drivers side of the radiator. to flush the coolant out of the block just, run the motor with the heater on with a water hose in the rad filller until fluid coming out is clear.
