emoplushbears answer: Manga originated in Japan as a graphic novel form of pornographic content for men, eventually it became so popular that they started creating more child and women appropriate manga. (of course some have not changed) Manga is the graphic novel form of an anime. Typically the manga comes out before the anime. Some animes don't have mangas at all. The traditional term for manga is mangaka. Of course it is typically Japanese but it widespread across the world starting in Asia and ascending across the world. that persons answer (below) (mahn-gah) The Japanese term for comic book. In Japan, manga are targeted at all age groups and cover a wide range of genres. This is in contrast to Western comics which are typically based around superhero themes. yeah.. what he/she said. its a Japanese comic book, usually read from right to left, but us using English comic books, we read from left to right. (even the cover is on backwards! ><") its really cool && funny. if you've heard of anime, its just the book version of that! interesting question...pfff manga is a Japanese style of comic. Read from right to left and has great stories in it. Actually the meaning is all written at the top but I'd just like to say how AWESOME it is. Anyone can read manga cos there are different genres for specific age, as long as you know how to read, understand the jargons being used and the meaning of those comedic expressions you'll definitely and undoubtedly fall for it!!! Start browsing and try to read one........ and yeah mangas are more precise and elaborate than it's anime versions sometimes plus excellent artwork \(^o^)/ wohoooooo.. love it! Manga can also be related to anime which is also awesome! Also if you want to read some good manga/anime I would recommend fruits basket and chobits.

He has never verbalized his preferences pertaining to sexual orientation. Though, he has been with women in both the anime and manga.

Shojo manga is targeted for girls between the ages of 10 to 18. Less common is Josei which is target for more matuse women.

All of the Senshi (Sailor Scouts in the dubbed version) are female. Naoko Takeuchi, the series creator has said this many times in interviews. Some of the characters in the manga are very masculine (Uranus for example) but she is still female. In the manga (comic), the Starlights from the Stars arc are women who dress as men to hide themselves. In the anime, they are women who physically take on the form of men (episodes of the characters in bathing suits illustrate this), but they are also truly women.

Because most women have no sense of creativity and only care about make-up, gossiping about celebs and other stupid crap like that. And I AM a woman, and I happen to like these things, especially anime.

That's not neccasarily true. Im a women and I like playing video games. Just not the ones that are like car races. I don't like reading comic books tho. I have to say tho... I honestly don't no any guys that read comic books so if you do, your just plain old strange.

I think there are the same amount of men and women watching anime. It depends on whether the anime is Shoujo or Shounen. Shounen anime tend to be geared towards male demographic but there are also women who watch shounen anime. Shoujo anime tend to be geared to the female demographic.

It is quite hard to exactly tell if it is men or women who watch more anime. To some extent, the number of women who watch anime is slightly higher than that of men.

Sebastian Michaelis' exact sexuality is never brought up in canon. However, there are two accounts; one in the anime, and one in the manga, that he has slept with two women.

Japanese people, sushi, bullet trains, books (the first was writen my Lady Murasaki Shikibu called the Tale of Genji, therefore, women invented books), haiku, the bamboo flute, anime, manga, yin & yang (debated wether of Jap, Chinese, or Korean cultural descent, but somewhere in there), koi ponds, zen gardens, samurai, shinobi/ninjas, shintoism (worship of Japanese dieties), etc.

Some would say that comic books do not make people smarter or better readers. Many comic books show violence and cruelty and some wonder if this is why society seems to have more murders and violence. Some felt that women in comics were too busty and wore too revealing of costumes.

Anime women and girls are particularly "hot" because anime is something that intends more beauty in people. Flaws are uncommon in anime people, that's just what comes along with anime. Now, if we are talking naked anime girls, I noticed they all have very large breasts. They are also skinny - again, notice that that is just a quality that comes with anime women and girls.
