I disagree with the answer above. what you really should try is mimicking your favorite artist. Get a feel for his/her art. The more you practice, the better you will get. Soon after, you will be able to start making your own, unique style of art.

If you want something simpler then I recommend looking for a tutorial on Dragoart. Dragoart is really good if you're looking to draw specific characters, or specific parts.
