If there is no key hole then it will stay active all the time. If there is a key then turn the key to the on position. It usually lights up when the unit has been turned off. If it does have one it will be in plain site near the airbag area. My 2002 liberty doesnt have a selector. Hope this helps.

When an adult sits on the passanger side the light should go off. This information was an addition to the 2004 manual.
