best bet is go to an stereo store or crutchfield and get adapter they're cheap
Check the fuse first. If the fuse is good, check the wiring. If the wiring is good, my guess is that the fan has to be replaced.
#1 is about 2 to 3 O'clock firing counter clockwise 1342.
In my 1995 Metro there is no clock, other than the one that is in the stereo. If the stereo is bad, just replace it. You will need a new stereo, a wiring harness if you don't want to hack up the old factory harness, and a install kit to make the stereo fit in the hole if the old stereo is factory. Then just follow instructions included with these parts.
Yes.
Yes any Storm motor will fit in any storm, however you will also need the wiring harness from the new engine if it is not the IDENTICAL motor. You will also then need the ECM. Storm Motors Include 1.6 SOHC 12v (90-93 Base Model) 1.6 DOHC 16v (90-91 GSi) 1.8 DOHC 16v (92-93 GSi) Sources... www.isuzone.org www.stormowners.com
Go to Crutchfield.com and use the outfit my car feature and your vehicles sound system will be listed. If you purchase the speakers there you will also get wiring harness connectors so you wont have to cut wires. Same for the stereo, they include the install kit for the dash and a wiring connector so your new stereo plugs into the stock connector.
There are dash kits available to adapt other stereo sizes and also wiring harness adapters. Google for "geo prizm dash kit". Total cost is about $25. I've done it a couple of times, pretty straightforward. Access to the radio is by removing the surround - I think there are a couple of screws at the bottom and it pops off.

Very carefully!
You can't. They have a distributor pack, and not a cap and rotor. a 1.6 eng 93 geo storm has a distributor cap and rotor!!!

Answer: The ignition timing on a 1990 Geo Storm is 10 degrees BTDC. This applies to both the SOHC and DOHC 1.6L engines.
