How do you find 1 on distributor cap when it is not marked in any way?

look at your firing order ,find #1 spark plug ,and follow the wire to #1 terminal on the cap, Get your timing marks aligned and make sure #1 piston is at top dead center on compression stroke. Take the distributor cap off. As long as your car has been running, the rotor button should be pointing at #1.

It's the distributor rotor that you are looking for & it's under the distributor cap. Remove the distributor cap and there you will find the rotor.

Hi, I might be wrong but I don't think you will find a distributor cap on any vehicle manufactured in 2003; ie, they would all have electronic ignitions by that time. Ray

buy your parts,usually change plugs to.make marks on your distributor or usually they are marked with dent.replace distirbutor cap and replace the cabels .with numbers.
