if I have only the vehicle identification number you can help me that person
If you would like to find the owner of a car that a license plate belongs to you would need to contact law enforcement. If you could do that for someone then they could do it for you and would you want someone accessing your personal information with just your license plate number? Only law enforcement and the DMV have access to those files.
Carfax or auto check services. I've researched alternatives for free, but have been unsuccesful!
You would have to submit an inquiry with the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
It is not available to the public the information that comes with license plate because that is private information that is only available to the police and DMV.
Report the license plate to the State Police
No, you must have a rear license plate.
the only time you can get a number plate is when you get you'r car. and you can't use one from you'r old car.
I would have thought that only the DMV or police could do it, but I was wrong... there are several sites that would allow you to do that. Here are a few to kick you off: http://www.docusearch.com/license-plate-search-how-to-search-license-plate-numbers-online.html http://search.dmv.org/DMV/license-plate-number http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/12/prweb9007081.htm
Only police and the courts can legally obtain and release that information.
When you have a temporary license plate you only have so long before you need to register your vehicle and receive a permanent license plate. Most temporary license plates have an expiration date on them, however should you not find it, the expiration date is typically 30 prior to when you purchased the vehicle.
Yes you can!
