Some people lash out at others when they are miserable within themselves. Your ex boyfriend seems to have some emotional problems, or possibly drug related problems (not accusing him of this, but it's a thought) as drugs can change a person's personality. If you always argued in your relationship then he certainly would be not be happy and neither would you, but he was extremely cruel and immature in the way he broke off your relationship. As much as it hurts your heart it is best to move on with your life and start going out with friends and try having a little fun. There will be many other boyfriends until you end up meeting that special person you truly should be with.
